These 1/2 oz silver coins have the same design that featured in the Birds of Prey Series. The imagery on the reverse was created by Emily Damstra, an American coin designer with a rich history for producing wildlife-themed designs. Red-tailed hawks are large birds of prey with a wingspan of 45-52 inches (114-133 cm). They are named for their distinctive brick-red tail feathers, which are most noticeable when they are in flight. In the obverse design of Canadian Silver Red-Tailed Hawks, you will find the fourth-generation effigy of Queen Elizabeth II.
